Skype: On The Block

BusinessWeek online is reporing that Rupert Murdoch might pay up to $3 billion for Skype, but more likely an IPO will be their fate.

It is possible to access the Skype service using a handheld with the Windows mobile OS. The quality is mostly dependent on the microphone and the capabilities of the processor.

Jef Raskin's idea for Apple's new mouse

And then my sysadmin, sent me an IM reminding me of The Humane Interface by Jef Raskin, who worked with Jobs eons ago. In one of the chapter of his book, he writes about how an Apple multiple button mouse would work. Here is an excerpt which describes the “multi button mouse”

It seems that Raskin pretty much presages the just-released Mighty Mouse. Om's also points to the Walt Mossberg article in yesterday's WSJ where he says that models of the Window mouse do the multiple click option thing much better plus the newest version, besides being wireless, has a magnifying feature which he thinks work pretty good.
