Motion Computing Integrates Sprint Mobile Broadband on New Tablet PC

Motion Computing - In the News

This press release on the Motion Computing Web site announces that their LE1700 Tablet PC will have an embedded radio to support Sprint's EV-DO wireless WAN broadband network.

This tablet with the embedded WAN will cost about $3K, and to this you must add the carrier fee, which will come to about $900/yr depending upon the contract. This might put this device in a smaller niche that first imagined, especially when you compared to the Vulcan FlipStart, or the newly announced Intel MID UMPCs which should have a better battery life.
